The Head of Exploration in this fast-growing global mid-sized miner, asked Axora to help with solutions that could improve the optimisation of their drilling work
Axora connected them to a Canadian AI solution for geologists and a pilot was run to explore the solution in the context of the customer’s exploration data

Diesel Fuel Savings and Emissions Reduction
This mid-sized mine has nearly 50 large mining vehicles and associated equipment, and ambitious plans to reduce fuel costs and reduce carbon emissions
Axora matched them with an innovative clean fuel intake solution and this pilot is expected to prove >5% emissions reduction, with a potential roll out across the fleet to follow
On a successful rollout across the wider Exxaro mines in summer 2023 we expect over $30m savings p.a. and >5% emission reduction

Water Cleansing
This world leading global miner posted a challenge for the industry to help with cleaning fluoride from wastewater in their (aluminium) operations
Axora matched them to an electrocoagulation-based solution, which is a chemical free, high throughput system eliminating several minerals and contaminants. The current pilot data shows >90% reduction in fluoride and many of the contaminants
