Improves grading and recovery of ore

Speeds up production

Cuts costs

Gamma-wave analysis solution for refining and improving ore sorting.

In more detail

Full description

Inefficient metal recovery is a major contributing factor when it comes to poor mine productivity. This gamma-wave analysis solution accurately identifies the level of precious metals in unsorted ore to efficiently refine and improve ore sorting and boost mine production.

Using Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation methodology, this solution detects and measures Cu, Au, Ag and Fe, among other elements. It does this through sensors, which are fitted on loading blades placed along the ore conveyor belts. These sensors expose the ore to neutrons emitted from radioactive isotopes and gamma rays then take measurements to determine the concentration of each element and identify the metals.

By refining the sorting and grading process, this solution speeds up ore identification, boosts production and significantly cuts costs.

The challenge

Inefficient metal recovery is a major contributing factor when it comes to poor mine productivity. If a mine is to run at optimal efficiency, it must recover the vast bulk of the metal it mines and accurately sort and grade it. Yet, this is a problem that many mines still struggle with. This gamma-wave analysis solution accurately identifies the level of precious metals in unsorted ore to efficiently refine and improve ore sorting and boost mine production.
